Cook Time 1 hour 30 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 30 minutes
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 1kg white fish fillets (I used bassa)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tblsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tblsp sweet chilli sauce
  • ½ cup sliced green shallots

Instructions

  • Line slow cooker with baking paper
  • Sit fish fillets on baking paper
  • Combine all other ingredients except shallots in a jug and sprinkle the liquid over the fish fillets
  • Scatter with shallots
  • Cook on HIGH for approx. 1hr 30mins to 2hrs (see note)
  • Occasionally baste cooking liquids over fish in the last hour to disperse flavour nicely

Notes--

  • Depending on thickness of your fish, it’s cooked when you can easily flake off pieces with a fork
  • Lift out the fish with an egg flip or similar lifter so it doesn’t break the soft fillets as you lift
  • Lovely served with a fresh salad or hot chips
  • Our kids LOVED this fish and begged for it two nights in a row!
