Asian Inspired Fish Fillets
Serving: 4
Ingredients
- 1kg white fish fillets (I used bassa)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 Tblsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 Tblsp sweet chilli sauce
- ½ cup sliced green shallots
Instructions
- Line slow cooker with baking paper
- Sit fish fillets on baking paper
- Combine all other ingredients except shallots in a jug and sprinkle the liquid over the fish fillets
- Scatter with shallots
- Cook on HIGH for approx. 1hr 30mins to 2hrs (see note)
- Occasionally baste cooking liquids over fish in the last hour to disperse flavour nicely
Notes--
- Depending on thickness of your fish, it’s cooked when you can easily flake off pieces with a fork
- Lift out the fish with an egg flip or similar lifter so it doesn’t break the soft fillets as you lift
- Lovely served with a fresh salad or hot chips
- Our kids LOVED this fish and begged for it two nights in a row!
