Could I make this using whole chicken breasts and shred them at the end ? or would chicken breasts be too dry for this recipe. Or could chicken legs be used ? Just wanting to use a cheaper cut of chicken 🙂

Very tasty! Made it with 400ml nectar and a 400g halved apricots, half the chicken and one french onion soup mix, as hubby doesn’t eat apricot chicken. I loved it though

I made this tonight, I used a 400g tin of nectar and 400g tin of half apricots. I only used 500g of chicken thighs sliced in half and put on low for 4 hrs! Added a onion too (only half put of French onion) delicious!

Used reciepe, but didn’t have apricot nectar so subsituted with a small jar of homemade marmalade and the French Onion soup mix + 1/4 cup water and was perfect – will be doing again!

Delicious! Just like mum use to make! I did add an onion and carrots. Served on rice. 🙂

Hi Courtney, yes you can change to any cut of chicken. It all works with apricot chicken 🙂
