Made this as a side tonight, was really yummy. I pretty much followed the original recipe, except didn't add bacon and was still nice. I didn't have cooking cream so I used pouring cream mixed with 1 heaped tsp cornflour as per previous comments. Also mine was cooked after 2 hours 15 mins on high. Maybe my Adesso 1.5 lt cooker might run hotter, not sure cos first time I've used it! 😀

Looks great, but was wondering if it matters what size cooker to use? Do the balls of dough need to be packed together to cover the whole base of cooker?

This is so delicious!
I made this using 1.3 kg bolar blade roast and cooked for 6 hours on low.
I didn't have tomato paste, but I had a bottle of pizza sauce so I used that instead.
Also added 1 tsp English mustard and mixed it all together.
Also put large veggie peices around the outside (potato, carrot, sweet potato) cos I couldn't be bothered cooking seperate veggies. Just zapped some peas and beans in m'wave later.
While the meat was resting, I put gravy in a saucepan and let it reduce to thicken.
The gravy was amazing, hubby loved it!

PS : sorry, forgot to add the star rating!

So glad I tried this, it's so easy and tastes yummy!
I read through the comments, so as suggested, I added 1 extra teaspn curry powder and 1 tabspn chutney.
Will make this again for sure.

Definitely delicious, I tried adding extra water like some suggested, but don't think it's necessary.

Had this on 'saved' for a while, but so glad I finally made it!
I followed the recipe exactly, even down to sprinkling curry powder on top at the end and served with hot chips.
Was delicious!

Made this for the family tonight, was yummo!
Only thing is was wondering if I did something wrong? There was a lot of runny liquid in the sauce and it didn't come out glazed looking like the photo.
