I added onion powder to recipe because it's a flavour I like to add to most things. Once cooked I strained the liquid and used for a ramen style dish. Family has already asked for again. So good and easy.
Vicki, I haven't cooked more in a bigger slow cooker but I would assume that the timings would be similar. So 1 hour 15 minutes but could take a little longer but I wouldn't think too much more.
Love this recipe. I didn't have any chives so left that out. Seafood I used was fish and prawns. At time of adding seafood I also added peas. Just before serving I added chopped shallots. I just added cream until I was happy with it
So good. We used chicken breast and cooked 2 hours high. No leftovers so safe to say it was a big hit
I used whole chicken breast and chopped shortcut bacon instead of pork. Was a little worried with apple sauce and chicken but it was very nice. Almost like a creamy sauce without the cream. The german mustard tastes a bit like dijon mustard if you need to substitute. Not overly sweet. Would make again
This recipe is so easy. Used less water and added some honey chipotle bbq sauce, garlic and Italian mixed herbs. Also added some large sliced carrots at the beginning and some grated zucchini at the end. Served on mash.
Made this in my aldi 3L following recipe exactly and turned out great. Layers appeared like magic
I cooked this overnight for around 9 hours low with no problems. Doubled the chilli to suit our taste and no sugar. Added a tin of drained cannellini beans to make more filling. Cooked eggs in the morning using silicone egg containers so could keep leftovers. Also had on hotdog with cheese for lunch
Hi Leonie. No I don't remove the fat until after cooking, its easy to scrape/cut off any fat then
Hi Irene. Golden syrup is thicker then honey with a malt taste to it. Stronger in flavour then maple syrup. Not as thick as molasses
Very tasty recipe. I used 300ml of chicken stock and about 1 tablespoon of Chinese cooking wine, picked up the wrong stock and didn't want to add the dry wine. Added carrots. Used beef sausages that I boiled to remove skin and fat. Sauce was yummy so thickened with a roux so it coated better. Son had 2nds
Halved the recipe except put whole can of beans in. Instead of tin tomatoes I oven roasted fresh and then skinned. No zucchini. Used purple and orange carrots. Added fresh corn cut from cob. Used soup pasta. I ended up using 3 cups of chicken stock and no water so was really thick which I wanted. Easy recipe that can add any veg to suit needs and taste
So good and saved me dirtying another dish for greens. Added a little chicken stock powder to the water. I didn't use spring onion but added a little onion powder.
I used rump because that is what I had. Using my 7L sc decreased cooking time to 3 1/2 hours low. Went down well with kids. For my personal taste I didn't add salt and would decrease the Worcestershire sauce next time. Overall we were very happy with this recipe
A lovely rich sauce that complements beef cheeks. I didn't have Guinness Stout so used a different beer and added some brown sugar. Also added some extra veg and replaced flour with gravy powder. So yummy and will have to make again
We had this tonight and loved it. I used the brie option and scraped off some of the rind because I find it a little much flavour wise. We love garlic so added a tablespoon of crushed garlic. I added the suggested almond slices as suggested in recipe in the last hour. I like my sauce thick so also put tea towel under lid for last hour. I also stirred through some chopped shallots just before serving. Served with Cabbage and Bacon recipe and found they complemented each other
I thought this would be a hit with our family and it didn't disappoint. I cooked on high because I put it on late. I also browned shortcut bacon and added the lot at the beginning instead of adding half the bacon as stated in recipe. It was a perfect side to have with Chicken with Camembert sauce. I could have just eaten the whole dish myself
My daughter made these for us. I loved them. You can adjust coffee strength to suit your taste. Served with ice cream and had the syrup drizzled over the top.
My daughter made this for us for Mother's Day dinner. She wanted to me say that she has aspergers and found recipe very easy to follow. We substituted slice onion with 1 teaspoon of onion powder owing to texture issues with onions. The sauce was lovely and thick with great flavour. We served with chips. Will be making this again
This was a big hit with family. Because I didn't have much broccoli I also added some cauliflower. Thickened with instant potato and served with hokkien noodles
Sorry ladies I only just saw the questions. I doubled the ingredients except for the soy sauce in a bowl. I then tasted and added a touch more soy, this just went by my personal taste. I cooked for 6 hours on low and based several times during cooking
I cooked this a little long so it ended up really thick but it still tastes yummy. Have made it so I can make the chilli jam chicken but after the taste test I think I could just eat it all with a spoon. I used 1tsp of the chili seeds because we like spice. So easy to make and I will be making again
Made this today and very indulgent, can't see it lasting long here. Tip, make sure your caramel topping isn't a really thick one or you will have trouble getting it down the holes
Love doing caramel this way but recommend that you put some baking paper under the cans so it doesn't mark you slow cooker insert
Made this tonight and all I can say is wow. Son was disappointed that I didn't make a double batch and already wants it again. I used chicken sausages owing to not liking pork and sliced chorizo that I fried before adding. Served with chips as suggested
This is a simple but lovely cheesecake. I made 1/3 of the recipe and used silicone cupcake holders with mini choc chip cookies on the bottom. It made 8 cupcake cheesecakes. In Breville 7L it took 45 minutes. Topped with frozen berries that I defrosted.
I was a little worried with it having honey on the corn but was pleasantly surprised. It added only a little sweetness and love the pop of the seeded mustard. Will make again
Made this for the first time tonight. The smell drove us crazy all day and it didn't disappoint when meal time came around. Heaps of rice sauce so we shredded the brisket and mixed through
Yum and so easy. I didn't have any tomato paste so used 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce instead. Made gravy using the juices instead of just drizzling over
I used this recipe for chicken wings and was great. After reading comments and knowing we like spice I doubled the curry and sweet chili sauce. Because I was using chicken wings I didn't add any of the water to allow for the juices of the chicken and it wasn't needed. Used 2 kg of wings and had heaps of sauce which coated the wings perfectly. Cooked 4 hours low
Jacqui the insert refers to the sc bowl. Sorry about the confusion
What I loved about this recipe is that it is super easy and very tasty. Par boiled my sausages. Instead of pumpkin I used sliced carrots, also added some chili flakes to the cream, we like spice. Because was wanting a one pot meal, before adding the cheese I added some defrosted peas and corn
Made this today and loved it. Because I was wanting to use it for enchiladas I only used 500 grams of diced chicken, replaced the refried-beans with cannellini beans because kids prefer them, added extra chili flakes, we like spice and a grated zucchini. Put it all in my 3L and cooked on high for 1 1/2 hours. Once cooked wrapped in mini tortillas with a little grated cheese. Placed in 7L sc and topped with salsa and a little cheese and cooked on high for 1 1/2 hours. Served with a dollop of sour cream
Had this tonight and will be making again. I par boiled my sausages and replaced vegemite with beef stock powder. I also added corn and peas in last 1/2 hour and chopped shallots just before serving. 2 tbsp of gravox made it thick enough for my family
Wow this was so good. I used gravy beef and added chopped shortcut bacon 1/2 way through browning the meat. Before putting top on pie I also added some grated cheese. Will be making again
A yummy sticky sweet sauce with just a little kick. I used beef ribs instead of pork belly
Thanks for this, was very helpful today. Had a lot of eggs to cook and things to do, was able to put on and came back to them done
A great hit here. You can change the curry paste from yellow to green or red depending on your taste and because I can't have coconut I change that to soy milk or almond milk and still turns out great
Love this recipe, will often double the meatballs to have on rolls for lunch next day
What can I say, colour and flavour amazing. I did baste several times during cooking as recommended and got the beautiful colour as pictured. Very easy recipe as well so a winner here
These also work great using chicken mince. So easy and yummy
Made this tonight and was a big hit. Was worried the soy might be overpowering but wasn't at all. Did baste several times during cooking and the colour and flavour was amazing
Another winner in our home. I like to par boil my sausages and I also stir through steamed greens just before serving it on a bed of mashed potato
Made this last night and was great. Used chicken breast so decreased time a little. Will be making it again
Drinking chocolate can be used instead of cocoa if you wish. Berries can also be added before cooking, just sprinkle on top and they sink like the chocolate pieces
This recipe is so easy and kids loved it
This should come with a addictive warning sign, just try stopping at one piece
This sauce also works great with lamb. I also like to stir through my steamed veggies just before serving
This is my go to recipe for curry. When I want to do a chicken curry for a change, I just change the stock to 2 cups of chicken and add 1 cup of cream in the last half hour
My favourite dough would be the yoghurt one. To make savory just add some herbs/spices to the dough
This even works on whole duck, did this last Christmas
