  1. I used this recipe but made a few changes- added mushrooms and carrot and swapped bacon for a small amount of ham.
It turned out great. Next time I would personally use less oil.

  2. Tried this today. It is tasty and as good – and easier – than the oven version I make. The cooking time was way too much for my cooker however. Could have stopped after about two hours.on high.

  3. Best snack ever!! I added garlic powder (i add it to everything lol) was a huge hit but the whole family

  4. Hi All, I would like to make this, but am wondering what size slow cooker this quantity would be good for ? I have the Breville 6.5L….and also…. If I have the searing (non-stick) cooking bowl, I don’t need the baking paper do I???
    Thanks

  5. Should I do tea towel trick as got this cooking now for son play date tomorrow morning . Zuchini slice is always nice as well as hot.

  6. I absolutely love this. I slice it up and freeze it. Every morning take a small slice out of the freezer for morning tea (reheat in the microwave). I also add chopped baby spinach and occasionally (if I’m feeling naughty) tomato and extra cheese. 10/10.
Note: I do not use the tea towel method.

  7. Had this the other night and it was very nice. Kids loved it. I found with my slow cooker however it only took 2 1/2 hours and was probably cooked a little too much on the outside. Made a second one and decided to do an hour on high then turned down to low. Just kept a close eye on it until it was ready.

  8. Didn’t have any capsicum, but added in a couple of carrots, shredded ham to substitute for bacon and some minced garlic to this and turned out wonderful. Plenty for tonight’s dinner and tomorrow for lunch for all 3 of us (2 adults and 1 toddler). Very delicious

  9. This tastes delish. However, Im finding Im having to finish it off in the oven as its a bit too runny. Any advice is appreciated.

I use this recipe a lot. I make the slice for my kids lunches and they don’t know about the hidden vegetables. I also use 1/2 grated carrot

This was a big hit with hubby he gave it a 9 out of 10 and he doesn’t like zucchini and I never told him they were in it ??. I did add some grated carrot too and 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  12. Made this the other night. Absolutely yummy. Made it as the recipe. Will be on the to do list again. The leftovers were great Thank you ??

Have made this a few times, never disappoints, serve with salad, chips, chilli and sour cream. And bonus enough leftovers for tomorrow.

So this is the exact same recipe that I have cooked endless times in an oven (I add grated carrot, curry powder, capsicum, 1/4 cup oil not 1/2) The only difference is the consistency is softer. Still so tasty and easy. Love it. Will definitely cook it this way again??
