  1. I thought this was nice. Quick and easy. I didn’t use the full can of soup as I only used 500gm mince and didn’t want it to get to wet. It turned out perfect for my taste.

  2. I love this dish!!! This is my favorite mince dish done in the sc!!! So simple n tasty n only takes half the time to cook compared to some other dishes!!! A favorite in my household 🙂

  3. Have only made this once and used cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom. My husband and children loved it, something easy for my father and brother’s to make too 🙂

  4. This is an absolute favourite!! So easy & tasty. I add one diced carrot, 2-3 stalks of celery, bacon pieces & chopped mushrooms. I gently fry off the onion & bacon, add the celery & carrot to the pan for a few minutes, toss these into the slow cooker & then brown off the meat. I always use the cream of chicken soup with this one. Delicious!!

  5. This is one of our family favourites, I chop up celery, carrot and mushrooms and cook with the mince. Serve it with either salad or steamed green veggies.

  6. Tried this for the first time last night, me and hubby loved it. Going to be a regular meal in our house.
Being in the UK we couldn’t get hold of tater tots/potato gems so used potato croquettes which are available in all supermarkets here.
    Came out beautiful.
We even added peas, sweetcorn and greens to the mix before cooking.

  7. This was so good!! After reading the other reviews I took a couple of their suggestions on board such as adding taco seasoning to the mix as well as frozen mixed vegetables and the result was clean plates from the whole family! So tasty and a perfect tummy warmer on a Winters night!

This is soo good on a cold winter night. Amazing comfort food. While it doesn’t look appealing it’s so yummy! My partner who doesn’t eat potato gems loves it. Go figure lol

  9. I made this for the first time last night and loved it. I used hash browns instead of gems have leftovers for tonight. Really looking forward to eating the rest

  10. This was amazing. Plates were licked clean by everyone including the children. This is a definite winner in our household ?. The only changes I made was I added a pkt of taco seasoning, 1 and a half cups of frozen peas, corn and carrots and used cream of chicken soup instead. It turned out perfect.

  11. I added bacon and garlic to add flavour. We found the potato gems soggy and undercooked and ended up grilling the dish. Maybe they need to be cooked for a while before adding…

  12. Tried last night and very happy.
Used 500g mince, 1 clove garlic, the cream of chicken soup and as i didnt have any diced tomatoes added a 250g jar of tomato relish instead.
I cooked the potato gems in the oven while i waited for the cheese etc to melt and they were nice and crunchy to add with it.
Will definitely be making this one again

  13. Yummy.

This is my go to when i want an easy meal. You can legit throw anything with the mince to put your own twist on it.

We cooked this last night and use 1kg of mince and we halved it so put half the mix in the freezer for another night. But we added 1kg mince, a pack of taco mix, 2 cloves of garlic, pepper, onion and garlic powder, i onion, 2 cups of frozen peas and corn, 1 can of tomato’s, 1 can of mushroom soup. Then finished it off with hashbrowns that i broke up and int he slow cooker for the cooking time. Served them with homemade fresh rolls.
