Serving: 2
Prep Time 1 hour
Cook Time 6 hours
Total Time 7 hours

Ingredients

  • 750g ribs (your choice of meat, our favourite is pork rashers)
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup.
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce.
  • 3 tablespoons BBQ sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons honey.

Instructions

  • Mix all marinade ingredients together in a jug.
  • Place ribs in a container and pour marinade over, leaving atleast a 1/4 cup of marinade to pop aside.*
  • Put ribs in fridge for atleast an hour*
  • Lay foil sheets in the slow cooker insert for easy cleaning.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4.

  • Once cooked, place on baking tray and pour leftover marinade on top.
  • Put in oven, on 180 for 20 minutes or so to promote stickiness and browning.

  • We like to serve them as a side to pumpkin soup, mash potatoes and veges or chips and salad but anything goes, really!
  • * optional step.

  1. I tried these yeaterday and, OMG! I wish I had doubled the recipe, the plates were licked clean and we were all disappointed there were none left after dinner. Thank you for this one, we will be making this many more times to come.

  2. These were divine.

I was planning to serve with some honey garlic carrots and some creamy mash, but I had a last-minute epiphany, and threw the carrots in with the oven dish, and covered them in the juice/sauce for the ribs and slow cooker as well. Half an hour in the oven and they were beautifully caramelised.

Very happy with this result, and will absolutely do this again.

This recipe was delicious and so easy to make. The ribs were moist and full of flavour. We will definitely be having this again.

The boys of the house absolutely loved this. I doubled the sauce and put the leftover in the freezer for next time.
