My family’s favourite pulled pork recipe. I serve it as burgers on brioche buns with homemade coleslaw and sea salt chips. Pineapple rings are also nice to add to the burger.

Smoky Pulled Pork

My family’s favourite pulled pork recipe. I serve it as burgers on brioche buns with homemade coleslaw and sea salt chips. Pineapple rings are also nice to add to the burger.

Ingredients
 

  • 3/4 cup tomato ketchup/sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1tsp chicken stock powder
  • 1/2 cup coke (not diet)
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 Tbs tomato paste
  • 2 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tbs English mustard
  • 1 Tbs cumin powder
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 Tbs cornflour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5-2kg pork shoulder, ribs and fat removed

Instructions
 

  • Put all marinade ingredients in the slow cooker. Whisk with a silicone whisk until all well combined.
  • Place in pork, cover with marinade.
  • Cook on low for 8 hours.

  1. We made this the other day and liked it so much doing it tonight. So easy and flavours are awesome. Best pulled pork we have had in a long time and we have had a lot.

    made this recipe for me and the kids, i substituted the pork with topside beef as kids are fussy, and this recipe was a hit its sweet and tangy with a lil bite, if you havent already i suggest you give this a go, ill be making this again with pork just for me lol
