Serving: 4
Prep Time 2 minutes
Cook Time 45 minutes
Total Time 47 minutes

Ingredients

  • 600 ml milk
  • 3 tablespoons cornflour
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 Tablespoons raw sugar

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a pre heated slow cooker (I pre heated for about 5 minutes on high)
  • Add a little milk to start with and mix to a smooth paste.
  • Add remaining milk
  • Cook on HIGH with tea towel under lid
  • Stir every 5 minutes or so for about 45 minutes (I used a 6 litre slow cooker and mine took about 45 minutes to thicken).
  • Once thickened (will not be thick like the fudge, but thicker than at the start - more like a white sauce type of thick) pour into moulds (or glasses)
  • Chill uncovered until it is cool to eat.
  • Once cooled you can cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Makes 4 serves.

  1. I found this recipe very simple and easy to make, though I did use a whisk when stirring regularly. We felt the cocoa version was way too strong for all but one in the house so we gave the strawberry and chocolate nesquik versions too and they are a huge hit! Thanks for the recipe, it will be a fantastic snack for the whole family during the warmer months of the year… Who am I kidding, if you love Togo you will love this 🙂

  2. I have tried this is still runny but thicker then when I started will it set when cool or did I need to cook longer then 45 mins first timer

  3. Could you make this in a pyrex bowl or four small ramekins then place in the slow cooker with some water (kinda like a bain marie) We only have one big cooker. Cheers

  4. Want to try this what are the strawberry and chocolate nesquick versions please as my daughter doesn’t like the taste of cocoa

  5. This didn’t work out for me. Took way longer than 45 mins to thicken. Then just tasted like burnt cocoa to me ?
