Slow Cooked Pork rashers in Plum Sauce

Slow Cooked Pork rashers in Plum Sauce 5 0 5 1

  • Yields: As many as you want to cook. I used this for the amount of 3 packs (approx 9 in each pack)


Pork rashers (I used 3 packs from woolies about 9 in a pack)

1/2 cup of plum jam

2 chicken stock cubes

3 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp minced garlic

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup water

Corn flour to thicken


1Place the pork rashers in the slow cooker.

2Combine all ingredients and pour over the pork. (The pork releases a lot of its own juices making it really liquidy so half way through I placed pork on a tray while I emptied the juice in the saucepan and thickened up with cornflour on the stove and added a little bit more plum jam and brown sugar) popped it all back in the slow cooker. Cooked on high for 4 hours and low for 2.

Just put it on to cook. Will slow cook over 8 hours. Hopefully same result.

I just used a pork belly and added the sauce. This was sooooo delicious! An absolute winner in my house – yummo!
