EmailTweet 0 Full-screen Slow Cooked Duck and Vege Duck, Game Meat May 11, 2017 Slow Cooked Duck and Vege 0 0 5 0 Looking for a new way to cook duck and came across a recipe I adapted to suit my family. Prep: 10 mins Cook: 5 hrs 10 mins 5 hrs 5 hrs 10 mins Yields: 6 servings Ingredients2 ducks 1 pkt. Onion Soup Mix 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped into chunks 2 large carrots, peeled and chopped into chunks 1 medium Onion, coarsely chopped 2 Tbsp. Butter Salt and Pepper 2tsp chicken stock powder 1 cup Water 1 Tbsp Cornflour (if required) Directions1Place all ingredients except duck in the bottom of slow cooker and stir. 2Place ducks on top. 3Cook on high for 5 hours. 4At the end of cooking time, take duck out and slice. Notes 1The cooking liquid can be thickened at this time using a little cornflour mixed with cold water. 2Could use other vege eg pumpkin, kumara. 3I added ready cooked peas and corn for serving but they could be added in during cooking time. 4I used a 5 litre slow cooker for this.
