An easy Family Friendly Loaded Mince dish

Mince - 2kg
Bacon - 500g, diced
Tomatoes - 2 large, diced
1 x 420g tin corn kernels, drained or 2 1/2 cups frozen corn
Spinach, chopped (can use frozen)
3 zucchini or patty pan squash
Mixed herbs - thyme, oregano, basil
Golden syrup - 2-3 tablespoons
1Combine all ingredients in slow cooker and cook for approx. 6hrs low (Contempo 5.5L sc)
2Serve with mashed potatoes or rice, or you could put mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes on top to make a shepherds or cottage pie.
3It also makes a great pie filling.
2Any other vegetables you want can be added - If I don't need to be FODMAP friendly then I add an onion and a handful of garlic cloves
3Vegetables can easily be hidden by grating instead of dicing/slicing
4I find cooking time very forgiving and have left for 10-11hrs without a problem
5I feed 5 adults and 4 children with this amount of mince
6I originally did this for approx 7.5hrs high in a Kambrook 6L sc

Anette every person has their own tolerance levels and I can guarantee this is suitable as it was created with my nephew and his dietician to suit his needs. As with any dietary requirements you do what suits your requirements!
Either way I would hope/expect that anyone following an elimination diet would be seeking the advice of their health care professionals

Please look at the ingredients in this recipe and tolerances before saying this is a low fodmap recipe. There are multiple high fodmap ingredients making this unsuitable for elimination and it actually is a fodmap bomb.

Hi, those on low FODMAP swap the mushrooms and corn if you cannot tolerate. I used pumpkin cubes and zucchini. Great recipe!
