Ingredients

6 Small/Medium potatoes

1 Medium sweet potato

3 Large carrots

1 Large onion

1 Large parsnip

1 Large swede

2 Tablespoon tomato paste

3 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 Cup red wine

1 Tablespoon parsley

1 Tablespoon rosemary

1 Litre beef stock

12 Sausages

Directions

1Cut vegetables chunky and add to cooker

2Add all sauce ingredients and mix through vegetables

3Add raw sausages to cooker and place on low for 8 hours

41/2 hour before finishing time mix 1-2 tbs of corn flour with a little water and add to slow cooker to thicken

I tried this tonight and it didn’t really turn out. Rather disappointed with the lack of taste. I used different vegetables and a few less sausages, so my fault for not using less liquid – it was rather runny. Added cornflour and water, plus pasta to absorb liquid, in last half hour. Also I cooked it for 4 hours on high as I didn’t have time for 8 hours on low. Even so, it was the lack of flavour that was the problem.

I was really looking forward to trying this out but when I cooked it up last night it looked nothing like the image and there wasn’t very much taste even though I followed the recipe exactly. I’ll definitely give it another go to see what went wrong as it looks delicious in the image.
