Chicken Satay Skewers

3 TBSP Soy Sauce

3 TBSP Crunchy Penut Butter

1 TBSP Spenda ( or other sweetener )

2 TSP White Vinegar

1 TSP Crushed Garlic ( be generous )

2 TBSP Sesame Oil

1/2 TSP Chinese Five Spice

2 TBSP Thickened Cream or Coconut Cream

1/2 to 1 Cup Water

Plus extra Water to Thin Sauce as is will thicken a lot


800g Diced Chicken


1Thread Diced chicken onto Skewers

2Add Sauce ingredients in blender and Blend to combine into a paste

3Place Skewers into slow cooker

4Cover chicken with Sauce

5Cook on low 4 to 6 hours ( depending on cooker )


1Sauce will darken and thicken , I like to add water and baste the Skewers with a pastry brush .. how much water will depend on how thick you like the sauce.

2Serve with Rice
