Lasagna.. With a "Twist"
Serving: 6
Ingredients
- Meat sauce..
- 1k Beef stirfry strips (raw)
- 1 grated zucchini
- 1-2 grated carrots
- 1 chopped onion
- 1x400g tin Italian diced tomatoes
- 1x820g tin tomato soup
- A quantity of mixed herbs.. To your liking.
- A good dash of minced garlic .. To your liking.
- Ground black pepper.. To your liking.
- Optional extras..
- 2-3 rashers of chopped bacon... A quantity of diced red capsicum...
- Cheesy white sauce..
- I never used measured amounts of ingredients with any of my cooking...
- Butter 2-3 tbsp
- Plain flour.. Enough to make a paste..
- A dash of cayenne pepper.. To your liking
- Ground black pepper.. To your liking
- Close to a litre of milk
- Grated tasty cheese.. Enough to your liking
- Optional extras.. For the top layer
- Parmesan cheese
- Cream
- Sweet Paprika
- Lasagne sheets..
Instructions
- In large bowl add all the meat ingredients thoroughly .. And set aside..
- TO MAKE THE CHEESY WHITE SAUCE..
- In a saucepan melt the butter, add a shake or 2 of cayenne pepper and ground black pepper , do not burn the butter ..
- Add the flour and stir constantly .. Cook the flour for a short time..
- Start adding the milk bit by bit, stirring constantly...until all the milk is used and the sauce is thickens to your liking....
- Add enough grated cheese to your liking while stirring.
- NOW START LAYERING.. (I start with the meat sauce)
- Meat sauce ..
- Pasta sheets..
- Cheesy white sauce..
- REPEAT ALL LAYERS TILL ALL INGREDIENTS ARE USED ..
- FINISHING WITH CHEESY WHITE SAUCE..
- I like to top my top layer with....
- Thin strips of capsicum ... scattered
- Good sprinkle of grated parmesan cheese..
- Small container of cream ..
- Sprinkle of sweet paprika..
- F Y I....... My sc is an oval shape..
- I tried the T towel for the condensation ... DIDNT WORK FOR ME..LOL
- I left the lid on my sc for 3hrs... Then I turned the lid so it was going across the sc .....
- In the last hour i took the lid off completely.....
- LET SIT FOR AWHILE BEFORE SERVING...
