A beautifully rich and hearty dish
7 hrs 10 mins
2-4 beef cheeks
1/2 cup spring onion
1 tin diced tomatoes
1/2 jar passata
1 cup beef stock
1/2 cup wine ( you can use red or white wine or balsamic vinegar as an alternative)
2-3 tsp crushed garlic
2 bay leaves
splash soy sauce
3 tbs oyster sauce
1Brown beef in a fry pan (optional)
2Add all ingredients into the slow cooker
3Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for around 4 hours.
1Passata is a thick tomato puree and can be found in your local supermarket in the same section as bolognaise sauces.
2This recipe also works well with lamb shanks or diced beef as an alternative to beef cheek.
