EmailTweet 13 Full-screen Italian Beef Cheek Casserole Beef, Italian April 24, 2017 Italian Beef Cheek Casserole 0 0 5 0 A beautifully rich and hearty dish Prep: 10 mins Cook: 7 hrs 10 mins 7 hrs 7 hrs 10 mins Yields: 2-4 ppl Ingredients2-4 beef cheeks 2x Carrots 2-3 mushrooms 1x capsicum 1/2 cup spring onion 1 tin diced tomatoes 1/2 jar passata 1 cup beef stock 1/2 cup wine ( you can use red or white wine or balsamic vinegar as an alternative) 2-3 tsp crushed garlic 1tsp thyme 1tsp chilli 1tsp paprika 2 bay leaves splash soy sauce 3 tbs oyster sauce Directions1Brown beef in a fry pan (optional) 2Add all ingredients into the slow cooker 3Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for around 4 hours. Notes 1Passata is a thick tomato puree and can be found in your local supermarket in the same section as bolognaise sauces. 2This recipe also works well with lamb shanks or diced beef as an alternative to beef cheek.
