  1. Such a tasty and easy recipe to prep. All prepped in less than 10 mins and cooked on low for 6 hrs. The prep time of 10hrs 40mins is not correct. Must have been a slide bar error lol. Enjoy with rice, creamy mash or pasta!

  2. Delicious so easy to prepare thoroughly enjoyed this with creamy mash. I swapped the cooking cream as I had none for Natural Creek yogurt .

  3. This was superb! I altered slightly to fit what was on hand/me not reading the recipe properly (e.g. I dumped a whole 410gr tin of coconut milk in and THEN read it should be less, so omitted the cooking cream!) plus I didn’t have a stock cube so left that out. But it was a lovely flavorsome curry that wasn’t in the least bit spicy. Thanks, Sharon! It’s a winner 😀

  4. So simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Served ours with creamy mashed potatoes which was a perfect accompaniment to this creamy curry. Housemate loved it too.

  5. Absolutely love this easy creamy chicken curry!!! The thing I love about this too is just throwing everything in2 your sc ? saves washing up ? ? on my faves list ?

OMG, this was so delicious. I could have gone back and eaten more and more. The chicken was so tender and juicy, the sauce was so full of flavor, and it was so easy to make. Definitely going to become a family favorite. All of the family absolutely loved it. Thanks, Sharon, for the recipe.

Very nice meal. Wasn’t sure on how much curry to add but next time will add the full amount.
    A keeper thank you.

  8. Made this for me and my husband and it’s delicious! I added 4 tbsp curry powder as my husband likes it spicy but I might even add a bit more next time. Lovely and creamy and really tasty.

  9. Not a fan of this one. Way too much liquid and didn’t thicken. Didn’t find it creamy as others did and I followed the recipe exactly. The chicken was lovely and tender but the flavour wasn’t a hit with us. I don’t like that it was just curry powder. Won’t be making again.

  10. The whole family loved this one. It’s a winner and so easy. I didn’t have the chicken soup so just added a bit more chick stock.

  11. Really tasty meal. I had a larger tin of coconut milk so used all of it rather than waste it, so I added another teaspoon of cornflour to ensure it thickened well. Nice dish!

  12. I wanted to try this after it had so many great reviews … they weren’t wrong!
Easy to cook, smelled great cooking and tasted fantastic!
I was a little heavy handed on the curry for our kids (with almost 3T) but it was perfect for the grown ups – yum yum!
Next time I’d add raw pasta in the last 45 mins or so which would absorb the sauce a little but produce a creamy curry chicken pasta for a complete meal.
I’d definitely cook this one again ?
    Thanks Sharon

  13. Fantastical recipe and very easy – good for weeknights.

I throw in some cubed, cooked potato with the mixed veges to help bulk it out (plus the flatmate likes chicken and potato curry).

  14. I made this the other night – used chicken breast instead of thighs (justroughly cubed) and it was delicious!

  15. Kate Williamson

We have this a lot. A definite favourite. So creamy and delicious! We always use cubed chicken breast.

  16. Best curry recipe I have cooked. So creamy and full of flavour. I used chicken breast so I cut the cooking time back to 4 hours and it was perfect.
Will be trying this one using sausages next. YUM ?

  17. Yum yum yum.
For hubby n I plus almost 9 yr old boy loved it.
6 yr old girl tried but wast to sure.
But I’m gunna make it again as nice easy.
New recipe kids need to try it afew times.
    But we’ll top for hubbq n I.

  18. Tried this the other night, did not fail too impress, i love curries, will def. be a regular in my house, yum yum yum 🙂

  19. I have tried quite a few recipes from this page now and it’s by far my favorite! Even my fussy husband enjoyed it! Thank you.. delicious!

  20. The whole family really enjoyed this dish! Will definitely be making it again.
I also added some frozen veg in the last hour and served with rice!

  21. This was an absolute hit in my house, my teenage son loved it.
I added potato near the beginning of the cooking time and cooked for around 3.5 hours on high as it was later in the afternoon.
I also cooked broccoli and carrot til tender and added to the slow cooker for the last 15 minutes. Served on sweet potato mash..yummy!

  22. 11 years old grandson cooked this last night. It was delicious if a tad mild for me. I will definitely be making again for grandchildren.

  23. My first curry in a slow cooker…and it will not be the last. What a great recipe. I read somewhere that there was too much sauce…not in this household….we love sopping it up with bread. Husband has been known to pour more over a slice of buttered bread 🙂

I used chicken drumsticks and some chicken wings that had to be used and will stick with them next time. I also used about 4T of Herbies whole seed curry mix….had just the right amount of sing. A keeper…

  24. Oh wow – Easy creamy chicken curry (with rice) was absolutely delicious!!! I added garlic to ours! Hit with everyone, no complaints with hubby and 4 kids , and plenty of leftovers for 2 lunches !!

  25. This was absolutely delicious. Made to recipe, except I used chunks of breast. I also added some capsicum. I served it with creamy mash which was delish with it, but I’m going to try it with some pasta added next time instead – it was really creamy so I think there’ll be enough liquid.

This is a wonderful, tasty and easy curry. You can add as much or as little of the curry to suit your taste, I use 2 tablespoons. The leftovers freeze really well, I turn those into curry puffs, by putting them into puff pastry.

  27. Yum, Yum, Yum. I had 1.5 kg of thigh fillets so used a full tin of coconut milk and added garlic and carrots, capsicum and zucchini. Served with rice and it was delicious. Thank you very much for a simple, easy yummy meal. ???

  28. This is an absolutely amazing and delicious recipe. Add a heap of veggies and served it with rice and it was an absolute hit. Will be making it all the time

  29. Absolutely delicious.
My kids favourite slow cooker recipe. I just add a bag of frozen peas, carrots and corn towards the end.

  30. Made this and left it to cool and made pies in my pie maker.
    Wonderful.
Tried again later making the pies in the oven.
    Even better 🙂
Best chicken curry pies I’ve had to date.

  31. Love this dish. Flavours were amazing. Used 2 tablespoons of curry as I’m normally not one to like curries. That has not changed, I’m sold, as long as it’s not too hot.

  32. Good morning everyone. Just wondering if you think this would work with thickened cream instead of cooking cream?,and would I still add the coconut milk?Thank you and have a nice day.?

  33. I cooked this for my family the other night. It was a massive hit, even my 2 year old loved it. Will definitely be making this again

  34. Can you substitute the coconut milk for normal milk I hate coconut milk it’s yuck make’s me sick when I consume it

  35. Kirstyn aitchison

Best SC meal I have done by far.. I doubled the recipe and used snow peas, carrot and capsicum.. my family loved it and have requested to have it more often, my partner pretty much ate the whole lot ??

  36. I do bulk slow cooker meals for time safer and also to help keep good meal proportions for weight loss . Not a curry fan normally but OMG this was just amazing ?. I always use chicken thighs when doing chicken recipes and this didn’t dissapoint . Thank you .

  37. This is the best! I have made it 3 times now and everyone loves it! It’s so easy and tasty, I just added 2 to 3 tablespoons of fruit chutney. I have served it with creamy mashed potatoes and with rice, either one compliments this dish beautifully!

  38. Loved this recipe. So easy. Didnt see “diced chiken” ? used whole skinless thighs, still turned out great.

  39. Made this and loved it. But I didnt see the “diced” i?n the chikem. Made with whole skinless thighs, turned out great.

  40. I’ve made this recipe twice and loved it! So easy to make and yummy. Easily freezes, which makes it a good option for work lunches. I put in a bag of frozen veggies in the last hour which worked well.

  41. Yum yum yum yum yum, don’t usually make curries as most are too hot for me but this was mild enough for me, I did increase the curry powder second time I made it, easy and loved I could pack it with all the vege I liked.

  42. Almost never comment but this one is a winner. Absolutely delicious and perfect for a cold Winter night.

  43. Hubby and I absolutely loved it. Omitted the coconut milk and added extra cream. Added mixed veg towards the end. It’s going to be a regular. Beautiful comfort food! ?

  44. Delicious! I swapped out the coconut milk and cooking cream combo for a tin of carnation light and creamy and added it at the start. Worked out perfectly. Only added 2 tablespoons of curry powder and was very mild but still flavoursome. Added 2 cups of frozen mixed veggies 1 hour before serving. Served with mashed potatoes.

  45. Made this today is a hit in our house – I left out the coconut cream and used lactose cream instead. Used 2 1/2 tsp curry.
Delicious!! Definitely will make this again ?

  46. Delicious! Super easy, followed recipe exactly. Used 2T of curry powder & will increase to 2.5T next time.

  47. Very yummy dish. I used 600grams diced chicken thigh (what I had in the freezer.). Accidently used ‘Creamy Chicken Soup’ instead of ‘Condensed Cream of Chicken’. No issue – tasted delish. Hubby and 2 year old toddler happy. Followed recipe but fried the chicken and some onion first. Cooked in low for 5.5 hours in my Sunbeam 5L Secret Chef SC

So it was the 2nd time trying this recipe as the first time I didn’t put enough curry powder in it because my husband doesn’t like hot spicy foods. I made the recipe today exactly per instructions and used 2Tbspn of curry powder and it was perfect mild curry for the wuss of the family aka my husband who doesn’t like heat and my 17 year old son said this is his favourite curry. Everyone in my family love this curry.

Highly recommend for anyone wanting a tasty simple curry

I actually made this for dinner tonight. This dish is packed full of flavour, however, I did find it a little on the salty side so I added an extra cup of water then added penne pasta to absorb all the water. Kids loved it. I called it chicken curry pasta when serving it up to them. I will make this again but perhaps next time I’ll omit the chicken stock cube.

Wow This meal was so yummy. Will definitely be on our menu again. Made exactly as the recipe. We loved it

  52. Made this as the first thing slow cooked in my Russell Hobbs Satisfry! It was delicious. Did it exactly as per the recipe! Thank you!

Tried this tonight. I think i put too much curry powder in it. Was a tad hot. But will definatrly try again and add alittle less curry powder.

  54. I made this recipe today and it was delicious. So easy to prepare – less than 10 minutes, perfect for a busy day.
    Cooked for approx 6 hours.
Tasted delicious – had plenty of leftovers – this would be delicious to use for curry pies as leftovers.

  55. Made this today threw it all in a 6 a.m. for lunch. Forgot the stock cube, used a whole tin of coconut milk instead of cream. Different taste form my normal curry will make it again. Oh also used 3 Tblsps curry and thought during cooking might be tooo much (we don’t mind hot) but it wasn’t over hot

A super scrummy meal. I’ve been using what I have, I did change a few things, added a handful of onions, I didn’t add the cream till the last hour, and I used those pesky unwell veggies in the crisper, finely diced carrots, chopped broccoli, bit of cauliflower as well. Really nice and creamy sauce with a hint of curry, this would work so well as a base for a chicken curry pie.

wonderful and so easy, we made it with chicken sausages and served it on rice with garlic naan bread. Will be a regular on our family menu.
