  1. As soon as I saw this new recipe come up, I was keen to try it as they were all ingredients I like to cook with but never had them all together.
We had ours on breadrolls and chips with that beautiful lush sauce poured over the top (I forgot to sprinkle the curry powder over the top, but will be definitely trying that next time)
A really lovely dish, and I’m keen to use the same sauce for other dishes as the flavour really suited our tastes

  2. Made this tonight … LOVED it!
I added some sliced chorizo in with the pork sausage too.
I wasn’t sure about the sprinkled curry on top as I’d never done such a thing before but we did it anyway and it was the cherry on top of a fab meal 🙂
We served ours with hot chips too just as Keith did with his …. I’m already eyeballing the bowl of leftovers in the fridge.
Make this. You won’t be sorry 🙂

  3. Yum! I used beef sausages (that’s what I had in the freezer) and put a can of crushed tomatoes through a sieve in place of passatta. Husband went back for second and he’s fussy!

  4. Growing up in Germany, I had high expectations in these dish and I must say they were met. It nearly tastes like the Currywursts I ate in my childhood. I didn’t use pork sausages as I only had beef ones and couldn’t wait but it was still delicious because its the sauce which makes it that yummy for me. Served the traditional way with hot chips. Will definitely make it again.

  5. Made this tonight and all I can say is wow. Son was disappointed that I didn’t make a double batch and already wants it again. I used chicken sausages owing to not liking pork and sliced chorizo that I fried before adding. Served with chips as suggested

  6. One word.. Delicious!
The yummiest thing I have had in ages. I was a little concerned about adding the curry powder on top but it made the dish.
Will be making this a lot more ??

  7. Loved this! Will be a regular in our house now. May use the sauce for other dishes too as was so nice. Chips went perfectly too.

  8. I’m thinking of making this sometime this week, would leftovers from home made tomato soup work the same as passata?

I made this for the first time tonight. I absolutely loved it. Very simple to make and the flavours are superb

  10. I made this a month or two back with pork flavoured sausages. My neighbour (who had some) said to try the same sauce with chicken pieces, so tomorrow, I’m making curried chicken with this recipe.

Had this on ‘saved’ for a while, but so glad I finally made it!
I followed the recipe exactly, even down to sprinkling curry powder on top at the end and served with hot chips.
    Was delicious!

  12. Minimal ingredients. Quick. Maximum taste!
I did mine with BBQ Beef snags and would be just as nice with the suggested pork sausages, chicken sausages, chicken pieces or even chops. I also served with hot chips which were awesome dipped in the sauce!

  13. Minimal ingredients. Quick. Maximum taste.
I used BBQ Beef snags, but would be good with almost any meat of choice.

  14. I made this last night and it was a real hit with my family! ? Thanks Paulene, & thank you to Keith for submitting the recipe. ?
P.s. I added peas, mushrooms and red capsicum & served with garlic naan bread to mop up the sauce. Delicious!

  15. Made this tonight and absolutely delicious. Hubby has already asked when we’re having it again. As with most sausage recipes, I swapped out for chipolatas (still pork), but just amazing!

  16. I cooked this last week. The kids loved it but was too sweet for my taste. Will cook again and add some vegetables and less tomato sauce.

  17. Excellent! I used 1/2 cup tomato ketchup to reduce sugars & didn’t have paprika, so omitted that. It was perfect just the same. We loved the sprinkle of curry on top. The sauce was a bit too thin, so next time I will reduce water to 1/4 cup.

  18. 5 stars
This has been on my to make list for far too long! Today was the day and I will definitely make this again. Surprisingly simple ingredients, but lots of flavour. I used pork chipolatas so didn’t cut them up. I added a red & green capsicum, a tin of borlotti beans & tinned tomatoes instead of passata because that’s what I had. Served with steamed rice.
Thanks for a great recipe & meal Keith Hechinger
