Chicken in Creamy Herb Gravy 5 0 5 1

A super simple slow cooked chicken in a lush creamy herb gravy 🙂
This recipe is for fillets but would adapt easily to chicken pieces if you prefer

Ingredients

1kg of chicken thigh fillets (or chicken cut of your choice)

1 tsp of dried rosemary

1 tsp of dried thyme

1 sachet of instant supreme/roast chicken gravy (no water added to gravy)

1/2 cup warm water

200ml cooking cream

Directions

1Place whole, raw chicken fillets into slow cooker (dice if you prefer)

2Sprinkle herbs over chicken

3Sprinkle dry gravy mix over chicken

4Add half a cup of water over the top of chicken (no mixing needed)

5Cook on low for 4hrs

6Gently remove chicken after moving it around in dish to disperse any gravy mix still on top of chicken, and set aside briefly

7Add cream to slow cooker, whisk to combine well (see notes below) then return chicken to gravy

8Cook for an additional 30 minutes to heat gravy through

Notes

1If you feel it's needed you could also add 2 tsp of cornflour in with cream to thicken gravy further but we didn't need to

2Serve with mashed potato and steamed seasonal veg for simple dinner the whole family will love
