Gave this recipe a try and it is a MUST.. Absolutely divine, I left my partner in charge of cooking the rice to go with it as I was at work and he undercooked the rice (it was still rock hard) but despite our rice issue this recipe was AMAZING!! Thankyou poster ?

  2. This recipe is great! Even though it’s the “lazy” way it’s so much nicer than if I had cooked it in the frying pan. The chicken was nice and tender and the broccoli was perfect! It has fussy teenage boy approval. It’s a definite keeper.

  3. Do I need to cook the chicken prior to putting it into the slow cooker and do I need to put a small amount of water into the slow cooker also?

I did this yesterday and sorry to say was disappointed, followed recipe with tea towel trick, but found the dish to be lacking in flavour and rather watery. Maybe it was because I used the Aldi’s brand.

I found that I can swap the chicken for pork – I diced 6 pork medallions (about 1.2 kg in total) and increased the cooking time to 6 hours on Low.

This is such a great easy throw together recipe Full of flavour.
However I love herbs. So I added 1 teaspoon each thyme & mixed herbs. And also added a handful each peas & corn

Made this for tea tonight. So yummy. Added the herbs & peas as Jenny P did. Hubby said you can make this again. So easy.
