Bread & Jam Pudding

Ingredients
 

  • 8 slices white bread
  • Strawberry Jam, or whatever jam flavour u prefer. (Alternatively just butter instead)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tsp mixed spice
  • Handful of sultanas (optional)
  • Spray oil for slow cooker

Instructions
 

  • Spread the bread with jam, cut in triangle halves. Spray slow cooker with oil & place bread in. Mix remaining ingredients together & pour over bread. Use tea towel under the lid & cook for 1 hr on low, then 1 hr on high. Serve with cream or ice cream.

    sorry, but this was terrible. I followed the recipe exactly, but it was a sodgy mess of bread. I cooked it in my 5 litre, so maybe the cooker was too big?
