Ingredients
 

  • 1 kg Beetroot
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 500 ml Apple cyder vinegar
  • 500 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 4 green apples
  • 2 onions finely chopped
  • juice of 1 fresh lemon
  • 200grams raisins
  • 2 tablespoons of cornflour at the end to thicken.

Instructions
 

  • Peel and grate the beetroot
  • Peel and finely chop apples and onions place all ingredients into the slow cooker except the cornflour.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours mix cornflour with cold water into past mix through.
  • Place in sterilized jars and seal should last for several months.
