Bbq Plum Chinese Chicken

Ingredients
 

  • 1kg skinless chicken thigh fillets
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup plum sauce (I love Ayam brand)
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 shallots, sliced

Instructions
 

  • Place chicken and onion in slow cooker bowl.
  • Combine all other ingredients and pour over chicken
  • Cook on LOW for 6hrs approx
  • Add sliced shallots for last 1-2hrs

  2. OMG, this was so yum and so easy. And finally, everyone in the family agreed that they liked it. Will definitely be making this again. The flavours weren’t too strong and the meat just fell apart. Even the daughter who hates thigh fillets, enjoyed the meal.
    For those in the same boat as me, I didn’t have sweet soy sauce, so I used salt reduced soy sauce and two teaspoons of sugar, and it still tasted delish.

    Oh my Lord !!! So full of flavour. This is another dish on the repeat list. Not too sweet, just the right amount of sweetness.
