BBQ and red wine meat pie

This versatile recipe makes a large pie and could also make a shepherds pie or pasties

Ingredients
 

  • 1-.1.5 kg blade stake
  • 500g mince
  • 3tbsp gravy mix
  • 1 tin crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tin kidney beans
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/4 cup HP sauce
  • 1/2 cup bbq sauce
  • 200-300ml red wine
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • Splash Worcestershire sauce
  • Splash balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Dice blade steak, onions and carrots and add all ingrediants (except gravy) to slow cooker.
  • Cook on high for 5hrs or low 8hrs.
  • Add gravy mix for desired thickness
  • Put in pastry and finish off in oven to brown puff pastry
