  1. I made this recipe last night and thought it was fantastic.
Super easy to make with ingredients most people have on hand.
Its very tasty, has lots of sauce and you could add whatever vegetables you wanted.
I will be making this again for sure.
    Thanks

  2. This is YUM! I used kilo thick sausages which I boiled to remove skins (personal preference) cut into 1/4’s, the sauce was delicious and went so well with mash <3 all my kids gobbled it up, another successful dish…

  3. Made this one tonight, loved by all. Tender sausages, nice slightly sweet sauce and plenty of it. I added potato chunks and carrot to make it a one pot meal. Also added some Lamb steaks for the sausage hating child and it worked well with that as well.

  4. Had this tonight, definitely a keeper!!!
    Empty plates all around ??
Even my picky 4 year old demolished it except the peas ! He had to pick them out ??????

  5. Have always relied on a cooking sachet to make something similar on the hob, but not anymore! Lovely, easy dinner to make and got an 8/10 from the whole family. I did grill the sausages first though. Served with jacket potato and veggies. Great Fri night dinner on a winter’s evening.

  6. I made these with chipolatas instead of sausages, and hubby thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Absolutely loved it.

  7. I made this last night and wow its so bloody amazing ? i added potatoes and carrots
Will definately be a regular meal in the house

  8. Excellent recipe, tastes like the packet mix which my kids grew up loving but uses pantry staples. Winning!

Cooked the sausages before adding to the slow cooker for 2 hours on high. Magic with mashed potatoes and veg.

  9. All the family loved this. Stuck to the recipe except squeezed some lemon juice into the stock. Just gave it a bit of a kick. Loved it!

  10. is this dish ok to freeze and store for later and how long can it be stored for? Theres only 2 of us that why l’m asking.

  11. Loved by family, loved by me as it is so quick to chuck into the slow cooker and gets eaten! I serve with extra veg rather than adding the peas. Everyone had fun guessing the ‘secret’ ingredient (apple). Thanks for the great recipe, have made it a few times already!!

For the benefit of those who, like me, measure ingredients by volume rather than by weight, 50 grams of tomato paste is the equivalent of roughly 1 ½ tblspns, well-rounded.

Very yummy ? everyone in the house loved it with mash potato. They even went back for seconds. Thank you for putting this recipe up. It’s amazing for a cold winters night

  14. Can you just throw it all in and cook without frying the sausages and apple first? How much extra cooking time would this add? I’m looking at putting this on whilst at work tomorrow and also adding in carrot.

This was a great hit with hubby. YUMMO he said.
I didn’t have time to precook sausages. Just threw it all in together NOTE: I did add my usual 1 teaspoon dried thyme. And threw in a handful each of grated carrots & corn along with peas. Another 10/10 from hubby.
    Thanks ? Jenny P

Made this today for dinner tonight. Left out peas as partner not a fan. Dev Sausages is a fav in our house but usually use packet mix. This recipe is fantastic! just had a taste test while cooking mash.. definately gonna be on the rotation.

Delicious! I had 10min so didn’t bother browning anything, just chucked it all in at noon. Perfect for 6pm! I did mash the the sauce a bit to make it less chunky, and thickened with cornflour. Served with mash and everyone had seconds!

I used 16 thin pork sausages, didn’t add the peas. Thickened with cornflour as per recipe at the end..Served with creamy mashed potatoes. All in all a very delish and fulfilling meal.

OMG made this last night 45 yr old son (who is staying with us for a few weeks) wanted the recipe his words “ oh mum, I think the boys would eat this”. So big success here , thanks once again Slow Cooker Central for taking the strain out of thinking of meals.

I made this tonight as I had 6 sausages to use up. Halved all the ingredients and put in frozen peas/corn and a grated carrot in the last hour. Served with mash and it was a huge hit with Master 19. I’ll be making it again for sure. Made enough for 2 of us for dinner and 1 lunch for the next day. Delicious!

  23. Made this last night with beef chipolatas. was a HUGE hit with my 2 year old. He ate 6 chipolatas with mash and veg. originally gave him 3 chipolatas but he kept asking for more!
Kept them whole as he likes to pick them up.
Was a winner dinner for all last night.

I made this last night, following the recipe exactly except for adding one chopped carrot (which was microwaved half soft first). The ingredients were all what I had in my fridge or pantry which is why I chose this recipe.
I particularly liked the fact the onion, apple and onions needed to be fried first. I had to do it in 2 batches but it was worth the time as it adds colour and flavour. It was very tasty.
Goes so well with mash, sausages were very tender. I think if you wanted to, you could get away with one apple if you were only cooking 8 sausages. I used two as I made it with 12 sausages.
