  1. Yum! Added some cinnamon to mine for an extra level of flavour. Turned out perfect. Mine took about 1 1/2 hours to cook.

  2. Excellent! Mine took 90 minutes but was worth the extra wait. Lightly buttered the top while it was still warm and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.
    10/10 ?

  3. This was my first attempt at a slow cooker cake and it turned out great! Banana cake is my favourite and this didn’t disappoint. Mine took 2 1/2 hours in my old style crockpot slow cooker, even on high. I made an easy vanilla icing also to top my cake off, it was a big hit in our household. Thank you!

  4. Mine took 90 minutes, turned out beautiful. I cut the sugar to 1/2 cup and used coconut milk . Family is gobbling it down warm right now. I will definitely make this again. Simple and fairly quick!

Made this this morning. Was my very first desert!! And omgosh. It was amazing. I used 4 bananas and they were only small ones. The cake turned out so soft and delicious! I cooked in on high for about 2 hours for it to be fully cooked. Was worth the wait. I will be making this again!

  7. This was super delicious and super easy, great to not have to buy shop bought sweet items for when u need that sweet fix, I added half a small tub of Greek yoghurt and I think it gave it a nice taste, cooked for about 1. 1/2 hours till skewer was clean, would definitely recommend

  8. Made this & it was absolutely delicious & so easy to make, took approx 2 hours, didnt last long, will be making again soon

My 12 yr old daughter and I made this and it was delicious . We added cinnamon to ours and once cooked my daughter put a light coat of butter on the top and sprinkled cinnamon sugar on top, will definitely be making again and might add chopped walnuts to the next one.

  10. This recipe is so yummy ? the banana bread is so soft and moist. I cooked this in a lined loaf tin in my 7lt breville slow cooker on high for approximately 3 hours with a tea towel under the lid and removed from slow cooker to cool once the skewer came out clean when testing. I used 1/2 a cup of brown sugar and 1/2 a cup of white sugar. I also added a good shake of cinnamon to the recipe ? I did have a little of the mixture overflow into the sc base but next time will extend the baking paper above the loaf tin level to prevent this from happening. Both the kids and myself give this banana bread recipe a huge tick of approval ??? thanks so much for sharing it with us Shelley Riley ?

  11. First time making banana bread in the slow cooker, was on high for an hr and a half in my 6lt slow cooker, came out perfectly, was very moist and soft and tasted absolutely beautiful ,we ate it while it was still warm with butter. We loved this recipe and will deffinetly be making this again.

  12. This is the best cake I’ve made so far in my sc!!! I also added half pk of choc chips that I had in the cupboard n only put half a cup of sugar in , instead of 1 cup ? I cooked in my 6.5 litre sc in a lined cake tin sitting on an egg ring with enough water to cover the bottom of sc !!! I lined the bottom of sc as well as I didn’t want to scratch it with the egg ring lol ? highly recommend this recipe, just beautiful ??

  13. Just tried this, I only had 2 bananas to use but it turned out so good!! Left mine in for an hour and 20min!! Even my 4 year old loved it and he usually doesn’t like banana bread!

  14. I tend to make this recipe whenever the bananas are on the way out. It’s so easy and seems delicious even if I use more or less bananas

May I ask how to get the top to brown slightly? Just made this amd OMG amazing!!! Best banana bread I have ever made ?

  16. I added chopped dates, Sultanas and instead of golden syrup I added maple, and I used a touch of ginger and nutmeg in the mix and a dash of coconut essence along with vanilla. So yummy ?

  17. So easy to make and so fluffy! Delicious!! I only had 2 bananas so I topped it up with ripe pears. Will be making it again.

  18. Followed the recipe exactly and it turned out so dense with little banana flavor. It wasn’t ready in an hour and when I cooked it just a little longer it turned out super dry. Don’t recommend this recipe.

  19. My kids say it’s the best banana bread ever,
They love it toasted with cream and strawberries..
The aroma in your house while it’s cooking is to die for ????

Made this for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised!
I usually make my banana cake/bread in the oven and thought I had a pretty good recipe…but this one certainly gives it a run for its money!
The only change I made was using 1/2 cup of brown sugar instead of 1 cup; it was still sweet but not overly – just right ??
So easy to make, very soft & tasty; highly recommended.
I’ll definitely be making this again 🙂

  21. This is delicious! It did take a little longer to cook than indicated (before the skewer came out clean) and my slow cooker also slightly overcooked on one side – but for the most part a very fluffy and delicious loaf of banana bread. I also added some cinnamon to the cake batter as well as some pecans coated in maple to the base of the cooker (which for me is the top of the cake once turned out). Will make this again for sure! I’ve just popped the kettle on to have a cuppa with another slice!

  22. Grand daughter has galactosemia so has to be lactose and dairy free for life. Substituted milk with oat milk and butter for dairy free. Not tried it yet will let you know how it tasted

This is a Banana bread that stands up to any oven baked banana bread, it is so moist and delicious ? I used wholemeal s/r flour, added some cinnamon, nutmeg and dark choc chips….I also substituted the butter for coconut oil and half the sugar for some honey for a healthier version and the perfect Lunchbox snack for my family. They all absolutely loved it!

    Fantastic recipe!
I did tweak it as I had more bananas and I wanted to make a bigger one too.
Turned out delicious! I cooked it for about 2 hours and was excellent with butter!
