1 hr 30 mins
1kg white fish fillets (I used bassa)
1 tsp sesame oil
1 Tblsp soy sauce
1 tsp minced ginger
1 tsp brown sugar
1 Tblsp sweet chilli sauce
½ cup sliced green shallots
1Line slow cooker with baking paper
2Sit fish fillets on baking paper
3Combine all other ingredients except shallots in a jug and sprinkle the liquid over the fish fillets
4Scatter with shallots
5Cook on HIGH for approx. 1hr 30mins to 2hrs (see note)
6Occasionally baste cooking liquids over fish in the last hour to disperse flavour nicely
1Depending on thickness of your fish, it’s cooked when you can easily flake off pieces with a fork
2Lift out the fish with an egg flip or similar lifter so it doesn’t break the soft fillets as you lift
3Lovely served with a fresh salad or hot chips
4Our kids LOVED this fish and begged for it two nights in a row!
