  1. Super easy. A winner in my family. Could easier make it really fancy by reducing the sauce after for a yummy maple glaze, but no need if in a rush. Makes a good amount of its own gravy.
I served with simple steamed vegetables.

  2. My family really enjoyed this. I used pork fillets, and ended up shedding them after they were cooked. I decided to use a hand blender to blitz the sauce after removing the cooked pork, and added the tablespoon of cornflour. Served with mashed potatoes. Yum!

  3. A huge winner in our house, passed the recipe onto our daughters who love it too. Served with mash potato and steamed greens ??

  4. I made this last night. I used frozen sliced cooking apples so just crumbled a stock cube over not add it to water other than that followed the recipe. It was gorgeous will absolutely make again. Thank you.

  5. I used a 1.3 kg slow cook pork roast from Coles and cooked on Auto for about 5 hours (coz whenever I set it on low I panic and think it won’t cook in time and switch to Auto!) The pork was deliciously tender but still sliceable and I loved the apple and maple with it. But next time I will use much less maple syrup (I used about 150ml) as I found the juices too sweet to enjoy with the meal. Would try this one again!

  6. This went down well with everyone. I used apple sauce, which I had opened, instead of fresh apples and cut down the water by 100ml to compensate. I also reduced the maple syrup by about 75ml as well and there was still plenty of gravy to cover our dinners. ?

My husband is not a real pork lover but specifically said how nice this was after he finished! I halved the recipe as there are only two of us. I used an ALDI pork fillet. I have to agree with my husband – it was lovely. Would make it again. Thanks to Alison for the recipe.

  8. Took it to a shared dinner, great hit with everyone . Will make again, Used a boned shoulder, had no stock cubes used a vegie cup of soup.
Will be buying another piece of pork great one to have in reserve.

  9. This recipe is so easy to prepare and taste really good.I used around 1tbsp of cornflour to thicken the sauce. This recipe also freezes well.

  10. 5 stars
Didn’t disappoint, the flavour was so delicious. Simple and easy to make. Added bonus there is enough leftover for tomorrow night’s dinner ?
