Finally tried nanny’s braised steak today using gravy beef 😋
I just marinated in one bowl & coated in flour in another bowl (as I found it a bit easier).
I ended up leaving it for 6.5 hours but probably wouldn’t go past 6 next time as it juuuuust started to dry out in the corners.
Tasted great though and I would definitely make it again 👌🏼 Served with mashed potatoes 🥔
Made the Fried Rice everyone talks about and was pleasantly surprised how good it turned out 🙂
Changes I made:
-200g chopped ham (in lieu of bacon)
-2 cups veg
I did forget to add an extra cup of stock - some of the rice was a bit firm at the 1.5 hour mark so added 1/2 cup water. Next time I’ll add 3 cups of stock as recommended!
I might also add more soy sauce next time as I like a bit more prominent flavour.
Great recipe and one that I’ll definitely be making again!
I’ll probably add carrots & capsicum next time.
I doubled the chicken & honey, used 1/3 cup of soy sauce and 2 small onions (halved, then quartered).
2 hours on high & 1 hour on low. 👌🏼
